| Description | L-161,982 is a selective and potent EP4 receptor antagonist with Ki value of 0.024 µM. It is selective over all other members of the prostanoid receptor family with Ki values of 19, 23 and 1.90μM for human EP1, EP2 and EP3 receptors respectively. It suppresses PGE2-induced bone formation in young rats at 10 mg/kg/day and prevents the nociceptive response induced by misoprostol in formalin-injected mice. It reverses the anti-inflammatory action of PGE2 in LPS-activated human macrophages at 100 nM. It blocks PGE2-induced cell proliferation in HCA-7 colon cancer cells at 10 µM. | ||
