| Description | 4-Hydroxytamoxifen, an active metabolite of tamoxifen, is a selective estrogen receptor antagonist, with an IC50 of 3.3 nM for the [3H]oestradiol binding to oestrogen receptor, widely used to treat breast cancer; also increases CRISPR/Cas9-mediated editing frequency.trans-4-Hydroxytamoxifen is a SERM and active metabolite of tamoxifen. The Z isomer is more active than the E isomer. It induces autophagy, vacuole formation and KRAS degredation in cancer cells and decreases contractility in myocytes. | ||
