  • Biological Activity
Description Rivastigmine, also known as ENA-713, is a carbamate-derived reversible cholinesterase inhibitor that is selective for the central nervous system and is used for the treatment of Dementia, Alzheimer's Disease and Parkinson's Disease. It acts by covalently modifying a serine residue in the active site by carbamoylation, as it stabilizes or reduces the rate of decline in certain cognitive functions.
