Potassium ferrocyanide trihyrate
CAS No. | 14459-95-1 | Cat. No. | BCP12097 |
Name | Potassium ferrocyanide trihyrate
Synonyms | Potassium hexacyanoferrate(II) trihydrate;
Formula | K4.[Fe(CN)6].3(H2O) | M. Wt | 422.36 |
Description | The ferrocyanide species is membrane impermeable and can be used to assess redox activity of membrane-bound structures and mechanisms of electron transport across membranes. This approach was employed to demonstrate that Potassium ferrocyanide performs reducing activation of membrane-bound dopamine β-monooxygenase from the exterior face of adrenal vesicles, providing elucidation of native reduction-activation mechanisms for dopamine β-monooxygenase regulation.
