Description | Loxistatin Acid, a derivative of E-64, is an irreversible and membrane-permeant cysteine protease inhibitor. The compound has been demonstrated to form a complex with papain by binding via a thioether covalent bond. Studies indicate that E-64-c, also known as Ep-475, is a more potent inhibitor of cathepsins B and L compared to E-64. Mouse lymphosarcoma LS studies show that Ep-475 decreases the effects of cyclophosphamide. | ||
