Description | Didanosine (2′,3′-dideoxyinosine, ddI, DDI) marketed under the trade names Videx and Videx EC. It is an antiretroviral medication used to treat HIV/AIDS in combination with other medications as part of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART). It is of the reverse transcriptase inhibitor class. It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, a list of the most important medication needed in a basic health system.
