Description | Cevimeline, also known as SNI-2011 and Evoxac, is a muscarinic M1 and M3 receptor agonist. It stimulates secretion by the salivary glands and is used to treat the symptoms of xerostomia. Cevimeline stimulates the peripheral muscarinic acetylcholine receptors of salivary glands and increases the concentration of Ca+2 in parotic acini and duct cells of rats. | ||
