Similarly to aripiprazole, brexpiprazole exhibits partial agonism of D2R and an enhanced affinity for specific serotonin receptors (e.g., 5-HT1A, 5-HT2A and 5-HT7). Currently. in vivo: Brexpiprazole is in Phase III clinical trials for patients with schizophrenia and as adjunctive therapy for patients with major depressive disorder .
