Biological Activity

Description	Cl-amidine is an inhibitor of irreversible protein pan-peptidylarginine deiminase (PAD) with IC50 values of 5.9 ± 0.3 μM, 0.8 ± 0.3 μM, 6.2 ± 1.0 μM for PAD4, PAD1 and PAD3, respectively. It irreversibly inactivates all four PAD subtypes by covalently modifying an active site cysteine that is important for its catalytic activity.
