Description | BAY 60-6583 is a potent and selective adenosine A2B receptor agonist (EC50 = 2.83 nM for murine A2B receptor) displaying selectivity for A2B over A1, A2A and A3 receptors. BAY 60-6583 decreases fMLP-induced superoxide production in neutrophils at low concentrations (1-10 nM) and attenuates infarct size in a mouse model of myocardial ischemia, suggesting that it may be beneficial for the treatment of disorders in the coronary arteries, atherosclerosis and ischemia-reperfusion injury. | ||
